Meanwhile, for purchasing departments, completing the order through the procurement system can be a tricky task, especially if they are not used to it.

Placing an order might seem puzzling indeed, but we are here to explain how easy it is on meviy! In this blog post, we’ll discuss the common challenges that designers and purchasing departments face when ordering, and how effortlessly it is to get the parts provided by meviy. We’ll explore the two different ways available to complete the orders for your meviy parts: 

 

 

  1.      1.You can finalize the order on meviy’s platform after getting the parts’ number
  2.      2.You can get a quote on meviy’s system and place the order on MISUMI Web Order System(WOS) 

MISUMI accounts – what's the difference?

Before diving into the instructions let us clarify another point. As you might already know, meviy is a service offered by MISUMI to allow its customers to get swiftly high-quality custom parts. You can easily access meviy with your MISUMI account which can be:

 

 

  • 1. CAD user account: you can upload 3D CAD data, set preferences, and get a quote. However, with this account you can not complete an order.
  • 2. Corporate user: There are no limitations for this account. Hence you can manage the entire process from the upload to the order processing.

How to order on meviy – Finalize the order on meviy platform

Finalizing the order on meviy is indeed the fastest and easiest solution among the two. Let’s see how to proceed with your order.

First, after uploading your 3D CAD data and setting up your preferences, press Confirm the quotation conditions button to get your unique part number. After getting the part number (PN), you can now view the lead time and the price calculation for the quantity needed.

 

To proceed forward, press the Add to shopping Cart button.

Complete this process for all the parts you’d like to purchase and then, click on the shopping cart in the top section. Once clicked, the below pop up opens and you can now check your order details.

 

If you click on Proceed to Quotation Confirmation you will be redirected to the MISUMI page to get the price quotation for your parts. However, to complete the order directly on meviy, click on the yellow button Proceed to order to open the order processing sheet by MISUMI.

On this page you can finalize the last details: check one last time the parts’ number (which will be added automatically from the cart) and the quantity , set your delivery preferences and proceed with the check out. Now your order will be processed by our MISUMI team and you will receive an order confirmation.

How to order on meviy – Place the order on MISUMI WOS

In case you need to better evaluate the pricing and the lead time within your team, or in case the designer and the person in charge of the order management have a different account, placing an order directly on the MISUMI WOS is the best option.  

 

The first thing needed is for the purchaser to copy the parts’ number (PN) required. The parts’ number can be found on the quotation sheet or directly on meviy’s system.

Next, we have to manually input the part number on MISUMI WOS. 

 

You can access MISUMI WOS system by going on MISUMI Homepage and clicking on the Place an Order button on the right section. 

After logging in, you will be redirected to the WOS system, where you can easily add your desired parts’ number, quantity, and choose the shipping option. Fill in all the required fields and proceed with checking out. Your order will now be processed.
