From spectrometers to speed: how G.N.R. streamlined custom component manufacturing

Receiving a fully finished component means the prototype mirrors the final production configuration. There is no intermediate step, no additional supplier coordination.
For small-batch production, this matters. Traditional suppliers often require minimum order values for surface treatments, making single-unit or low-volume orders inefficient.
Here, even a single component can be delivered production-ready.
That flexibility supports both prototyping and final deployment.
Complex geometries without negotiation
A defining example involved a structural arc used in a diffractometer assembly, a geometrically demanding component requiring strict precision and finishing standards.
Local suppliers considered it complex, particularly in terms of machining accuracy and lead time. Quotation cycles were slow and pricing reflected the perceived difficulty.
The component was uploaded unchanged.
The outcome: automatic quotation.
Even more notably, the price was approximately half of the local supplier’s offer.
Once the code is assigned, it practically becomes a catalogue component for us.
