Set the Surface Roughness, Grinding and Buffing
1. Click 
, select the applicable surface, then click "OK."
Multiple applicable surfaces may be selected.
Tip
The
icon displays “Cannot be selected.”
2. Select the "Value" from the displayed [Specified surface roughness] dialog box, and click [Update].
Tip
Machining options can be selected.・G (Grinding)
・SPBF (Buffing)
Caution
- Some options may not be available depending on the material and shape.
- For grinding, a relief shape may be required.
- Grinding and polishing are performed before surface treatment. The specified surface roughness therefore also applies before surface treatment.
- If grinding is specified together with hardening, grinding will be performed after hardening.
3. The added surface roughness can be checked in the 3D model or in Details.
Delete Surface Roughness
1. Click 
[IMAGE] Delete PMI, and select the surface roughness to delete.
2. Deletion is complete. Press the Esc key or the × button to end Delete PMI.
Caution
Please note that clicking the “Delete All Settings” button will delete all settings except the initial display.
